On December 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor said that there are more than 80 enterprises in the region looking to recruit workers, among which the textile, clothing and footwear industry is in greater demand for recruitment, with more than 20,000 workers and is full of vitality.

Among them, Wordon Vietnam Co., Ltd., located in the southeast industrial park of Cu Chi County. It is the company that recruits the largest number of workers, with nearly 8,000 workers. The factory has just come on stream and needs a lot of people.

New positions include sewing, cutting, printing and team leadership; Monthly income of VND 7-10 million, Spring Festival bonus and allowance. Garment workers are aged 18-40, and other positions still accept workers under 45.

Workers can be accommodated in company dormitories or by shuttle buses, as needed.

Many shoe and clothing factories began to recruit workers

Similarly, Dong Nam Vietnam Company Limited, based in Hoc Mon County, hopes to recruit more than 500 new workers.

Job openings include: tailor, ironing, inspector… A representative of the company’s recruitment department said the factory accepts workers under 45. Depending on product prices, skills and workers’ incomes, it will reach VND8-15 million per month.

In addition, Pouyuen Vietnam Co., Ltd., located in Binh Tan district. At present, 110 new male workers are being recruited for shoe sole production. The minimum wage for workers is VND6-6.5 million per month, excluding overtime pay.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, in addition to manufacturing enterprises, many enterprises have also posted notices for seasonal workers or business development cooperation, such as the Institute Computer Joint Stock Company (Phu Run District) needs to recruit 1,000 technicians. A technician; Lotte Vietnam Shopping Mall Co., Ltd. needs to recruit 1,000 seasonal employees during the Chinese New Year…

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor, more than 156,000 unemployed workers in the region have applied for unemployment benefits since the beginning of the year, an increase of more than 9.7% year-on-year. The reason is that the production is difficult, especially the textile clothing and footwear enterprises have fewer orders, so they have to lay off employees.
